Thank You

I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who supported the LDN petitions.

The Petition to No. 10 Downing St was the rallying call we needed to get support for the LDN cause.

We generated grass roots support, and this opened doors to politicians, to the media, to medical professionals, and to many others.

No. 10 Downing St. has now responded to the Petition and has pointed towards the NIHRTA.

Andrew Barnett submitted a proposal to them last August.

NIHRTA discussed this proposal at their panel meeting on 19th Jan 2010. The outcome is awaited.

A presentation was submitted to the Scottish Parliament Petitions Committee on 01st Dec and was well received.

This remains a work-in-progress.

A Petition to the European Parliament has been launched. This will focus on the Human Rights issues relating to LDN.

Press Release – Dr Chris Steele delivers Petition to No. 10   Link

UK LDN Petition closed on 23rd Nov 2009 with 13,028 signatures. Dr Chris Steele presented Petition to No. 10 on 01st Dec 2009

LDN Now Day on Sat 12 Sep 2009 proved to be very successful and motivated everyone to keep activities ongoing.

All of us who know about LDN feel that we have a duty to bring it to the attention of as many people as possible, so that anyone who may need it, will be encouraged to Google "LDN" and then have the freedom to choose.
The Petition has enabled us to highlight the importance of LDN to our politicians, and to generate media interest.

In time this will enable our Medical Professionals to prescribe LDN on the NHS.

A second Petition was created to the Scottish Parliament and achieved 1,201 signatures in one month.

Bob, Celia & Margaret Anne presented this Petition to the Scottish Parliament Petition Committee on 01st Dec 2009.

We need to build on the progress made – the more people who get involved the sooner we will achieve our aims.
